The Concept
Overwhelmed yet Disconnected explores the feeling of being surrounded by noise without meaningful connection, like standing in a crowded space where everything is present but nothing is fully heard. The project translates this tension through clustered compositions of shapes and letterforms, creating a sense of visual density that remains fragmented and detached.
The Process
A key part in my process involved balancing the amount of graphics across each spread. The challenge was to create a sense of overwhelm without losing cohesion, carefully adjusting spacing, scale, and composition so the graphics felt connected while still maintaining a sense of fragmentation.
